Working the Weekend

I have certain withdraw if I do not fiddle around in my house.  Moving furniture, reworking vignettes, and looking for new finds.  On my last day off Thursday I cleaned my basement out.  May I add it was very bad.   It was probably 3 days work and I did it in one, I was very sore yesterday.  I cleaned up and organized a craft room area downstairs, which I have been trying to do since 2004.   So I have not had my decorating or shopping fix this week.  And off to work I go for the weekend.  Love my job hate the weekends.  I will be working on some merchandise displays this weekend to get my fix.  Below is a vignette on my gate leg table.  I found this container I think I will use it as a vase for some flowers.   I am inspired from ideas at  www.cherrysjubileehome.blogspot.com.   She has done the cutest things with MS letters, it is a great idea.  Thanks for the inspiration Cherry!

Cute, cute arrangement on your table. How about placing a few books flat down on the table with the lamp on top of that? Black and white books, of course, (thrift stores great for hard covered books), Doing this gives additional height and dimension. Looks cool. I use this technique all the time.

Very fun to know there are more like me out there!! I would like to stop the finger thing - it even bugs ME! And not to mention that my fingers look terrible. Well, there's always something to work on right :o) And watching the same shows as our kids is a good thing I think. It keeps us in touch right! It keeps us young.
