It's Hard to get in the Halloween Spirit

It's so hard to get into the Halloween Spirit, I think it was in the high 80's today.  Fall is my favorite time of year.  It is about this time that we have our fire pit working overtime and those sweatshirts are getting a work out.  So I have had to force myself in the mood during my favorite time of year.  I finished my hat for the Speckled Egg party hat halloween swap and that got me in the mood, so I decorated my front porch for the season.  Have a great fall weekend, no matter what weather comes your way!  Bristol

We've been having a heat wave here too. Today was the first cool day in two weeks and I'm soaking all of the fall juice out of it that I can! It's going to be back in the 80s to 90s by the end of the weekend :( I love that hat that you made.

Hi Bristol, the weather is crazy, isn't it? I had an indoor-tailgate in the basement - birthday party for my daughter on the 5th She is turning 20 on Sunday. She wanted chili, grilled hot dogs, hot mulled cider, Fritos, etc. We had the party, but it was anything but fall like. Oh well, I guess we can't plan for the weather. We had everything all decorated for fall harvest, but it felt like Summer Heat wave instead.

I know exactly what you mean. Today's high is supposed to be 87. What is that?? I'm ready for crisp weather. But I already know what will happen. We'll go from summer right into winter.

Your porch looks so cozy. Reminds me a little of my porch which I posted about a few days,week or so ago. I'm trying to be all "fall" like - but Mother Nature has other plans.
