I love your kitchen! I am also debating on whether or not to paint our very good quality, decent styled (but I hate the finish) cabinets a creamy white!

Have a wonder filled weekend and I am so glad you stopped by Southern Somedays for a visit...come back anytime!

(((hugs)))

Cute wallpaper! I painted my kitchen cabinets too and I know what a chore that was. I thought I'd never finish! Yours look great. Love the chalkboard door - I did that with the back of my daughter's door cause I thought she'd use it write her to do's but mostly she just draws on it. I bet it's quite handy in a kitchen!

Looks great! Can you come redo my kitchen? LOL! I was thinking using the blackboard paint on our basement door as well - except I don't have kids - just a big kid at heart!

What a fabulous kitchen. Love the color scheme. Congratulations on finishing it 'cause I know about painting cabinets. I painted my whole kitchen too and what a chore that was. I love my white cabinets but find them hard to keep clean. Do you?

Wonderful! I really want to paint my cupboards. It's my biggest booboo when we picked them out for the house 4 years ago. I wanted painted cabinets then.....I still want them. Why, oh why, did I cave in? Thanks for the primer tip......I hope I can screw up the courage to do this sooner than later.

Cheryl

Love your kitchen Bristol. It was definitely worth all the work you put in to it! Love the black and white. Great job on all the deocrating :-)!

Thank you for the tip, Bristol! I do believe that using a primer is key. It ends up making the paint look a whole lot better. Your kitchen is just adorable! Reminds me of a 50's soda shoppe. LOVE the hand under the cloche! Too cute! xo, Becky

Great Kitchen!! Don't you just love chalk board paint?? I think it's the coolest invention. The wallpaper is great too. Are the cabinets yellow?? I love yellow!

Bristol, what a "cheery" kitchen. I love the idea of painting the door with chalkboard paint. I painted my cupboards in my last home too. It was a labor of love. . . but I was so happy with the results.

I have a black and white floor in my kitchen, and I love it. Black and white always goes well with other colors, and is a classic, I think. Your kitchen is lovely. I really like your painted door!
Happy weekend to you too!

Cindy

Love your chalkboard door! My 4 year old would sure have fun with it! Thanks for stopping by my blog! Cindy at www.cutepinkstuff.com

Hey Bristol,
(We still have to talk about that awesome name) the dreaded renovations are going slowly. Trying to winterize the house we call home this weekend. I am going to post some photos of the progress, maybe later tonight, given the chance, First I have to make choc chip cookies for the week annd make the hubby an apple pie-AND if like if there is any more to squeeze out of the Saturday, I will try some quick apple sauce. The apples need to get cooked!!!!
Thanks for bloggin me- girlfriend!!

Your kitchen looks fabulous - the chalkboard paint is a great idea. I recently saw some magnetic paint in purple & have been debating where I could use it ever since!

Thanks for visiting my blog - by the way...I live near the "real" Bristol in England - great name!

Hi Bristol, your kitchen looks great! Painting cabinets is such a big job, but you did really well. I absolutely love the basement door with the chalkboard paint on it. That was such a great idea! It all looks really nice Bristol!

ahhh bristol! not only do we share the same sort of tacky old lights but the kitchen here has the same kitchen cabinets you have..only they have never been painted but surely do need it! I love how yours turned out! do you have a cabinet strictly for baking sheets? I love that one the best it reminds me of mail slots * they really are well made! Love the chekerboard walls too

karla nathan

Oh, cool, such dramatic colors!

We painted our cabinets, too. Whew...what a job. You don't realize how much surface area there is until its too late to turn back. LOL
