Karla at www.sugarbeardesigns.blogspot.com is making a necklace for me to give my Mom. I had a friend scan some pictures to send her for the necklace. You need to check out her etsy shop and blog she is very talented, creative and beyond sweet!!! When I got home from work I checked the disk out, wow those old pictures came to life. I wanted to share them.
This is my great grandparents farm house in Honey Bend Illinois. Thats where I came up with my Etsy shop name. And if I ever am lucky enough that is what I will name my real life shop " Honey Bend Gifts"
My Dad and my most wonderful Aunt Shirley, she was the best I miss her!
My Dad and Aunt and are on the left don't know the other cuties!
Bristol,
you are so lucky to have such beautiful photos of your passed heritage. They are treasures to last a lifetime.Wouldnt it be grand to be able to have a real heart to heart to those who have gone before us-now that we are all grown up ourselves. I just imagine the conversations that my grama Mary and I would have, even though I was 16 when she left us. I remember her well, and miss her every day. Life is short. Cherish the moments! All the best to you--
Lisa

Those are great photos! I just love the old snow scenes...kids all bundled up --but you can recognize them 'cause they aren't little down-filled marshmallows!
You mentioned on a comment you left on my blog that you were going to Lebanon...Ohio? I love shopping there and in Waynesville. Haven't been in a few years though.

Don't you just love old pictures? My mom just gave me another stack of oldies to hang in my house. I have pictures of my great grandparent all over my house. People whom I have never met, but feel as though I have in my heart.
Love,
Julie
