There is nothing better then a boy and his Dad hanging out. My husband is so good with my son, he is an excellent Father. The two of them together can get into trouble. They are molded from the same cloth. A lot of jumping and diving go on when they are together. Get my stepson involved(he is 17) and it gets scary, they all act the same age! The pictures below depict a regular day for Griffin and his Dad, it's heart warming. (Remember Jim and Grif Santa is watching!)
Griffin and I enjoyed our Sunday going to Target and crafting in the basement. On the way to Target the little hole in his jeans had been ripped half way up his leg. I was mortified walking through Target, at least he had a coat on! I am going to pull out my Christmas decorations, to see what I have and need. Why is it you forget every year. I am starting a little early this year. I will post some pictures later this week. Below are a few things I made for my Etsy shop

Why do the holidays always creep up on you? I wish I could clone myself so I could get everything I wish to get done complete. I always have big dreams for the holidays, having a party decorating my house over the top. Reality sets in and I have to remind myself you work in retail and it is the holidays. So this year I am going to be realistic with my plans. This week is the last of two days off, until the holidays are over we move to a six day work week so today I must get a lot done.
To do list
1. Clean the house- Pick up the house
2. Go the the grocery store- Delegate to stepdaughter
3. Go to Target to buy Griffin pants( Remind him to stop doing slides on his knees, so holes do not appear:) While at Target look at battery operated riding toys.
4. Laundry- Throw one load in
5. Work on some holiday crafts for the Etsy shop
So I have narrowed my list down. Go to Target and do some crafts. Sounds like a good day to me. While at Target I need to look at riding toys. Griffin is desperate for a battery powered jeep. The price is 399.99, totally out of the budget. The quad is more in my price range this year, $186.99. We will see if Santa delivers this year. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Our huge dinner went off without a hitch. Off to Target I go. I may be back later with some Holiday crafts. Have a Great week!

I completed a new project to add to my Etsy shop, I used mostly vintage supplies. It started as a quick crown project and it continued into detailed work. I have two craft swaps I need to start, and the Holiday season has started at my store. It is funny how it all sneaks up on you at once! Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Karla at www.sugarbeardesigns.blogspot.com is making a necklace for me to give my Mom. I had a friend scan some pictures to send her for the necklace. You need to check out her etsy shop and blog she is very talented, creative and beyond sweet!!! When I got home from work I checked the disk out, wow those old pictures came to life. I wanted to share them.
This is my great grandparents farm house in Honey Bend Illinois. Thats where I came up with my Etsy shop name. And if I ever am lucky enough that is what I will name my real life shop " Honey Bend Gifts"

THANKSGIVING DINNER HELP
That's right 26 people, and 19 of them are kids. We are having thanksgiving at my middle brother's house he has 3 kids. My oldest brother moved back home and he has 15 kids. Yes you read that right. They have 5 biological kids and have adopted 10. Include my 1 thats 19, YIKES!! So my sister-in-law Holly(who I might add is wonderful for hosting at her house)my Mom and me have to come up with food ideas!! Does anyone have any good recipes that can feed a lot of people and kid friendly. If you have any ideas to keep 19 kids entertained, let me know. Hope everyone is having a wonderful week!

So after some thought I decided to open an Etsy shop to sell my wares. Not quite sure about it. Same as "will anyone show up to my party", will anyone buy my stuff? Well I am gonna do it. It is the first step to following my dream of opening a little shop. I am going to sell my paper crafts and some vintage supplies. I have just started getting it together, I will let you know when the Open sign is turned!

We had a lot going on in our neighborhood yesterday. When I left for work they were setting up a film set, in our little neighborhood. A lady down the street is bringing an old house back to life. A DYI show did their landscape and filmed it. I have to find out what show. Later that night we had trick or treat. Griffin was Spider Man, his costume got a workout at preschool and daycare parties and then trick or treat. Someone in the neighborhood roamed the streets with their horses. My husband had his police cruiser lights going, it was a fun night for the kids. Griffin was so sweet we ran out of candy close to the end, he started handing his own candy out. Makes a Mother proud!!
