Why do the holidays always creep up on you? I wish I could clone myself so I could get everything I wish to get done complete. I always have big dreams for the holidays, having a party decorating my house over the top. Reality sets in and I have to remind myself you work in retail and it is the holidays. So this year I am going to be realistic with my plans. This week is the last of two days off, until the holidays are over we move to a six day work week so today I must get a lot done.
To do list
1. Clean the house- Pick up the house
2. Go the the grocery store- Delegate to stepdaughter
3. Go to Target to buy Griffin pants( Remind him to stop doing slides on his knees, so holes do not appear:) While at Target look at battery operated riding toys.
4. Laundry- Throw one load in
5. Work on some holiday crafts for the Etsy shop
So I have narrowed my list down. Go to Target and do some crafts. Sounds like a good day to me. While at Target I need to look at riding toys. Griffin is desperate for a battery powered jeep. The price is 399.99, totally out of the budget. The quad is more in my price range this year, $186.99. We will see if Santa delivers this year. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Our huge dinner went off without a hitch. Off to Target I go. I may be back later with some Holiday crafts. Have a Great week!

LOL...had to laugh at your list. That's so cute. Starting making my holiday list today too. Lordy, there's so much to do. Today I did a lot of shopping on the internet in my jammies. There's nothing like it. ~ Smiles ~ Lynn

I didn't know you worked in retail! My husband does too. Even though he's a Regional they still expect him to work in the stores during the Holidays, so I know how it is!
I worked at Target one holiday season so that I could get my daughter the display jeep at a deep discount I think they gave it to me at 50% off. THAT was a rough Christmas, but she really enjoyed that jeep so it was worth it!

Well, my dear, you sound like me! I totally understand where your coming from with the retail side of things. I still take on the impossible, which still is impossible, but I try, hard as I might, to get it all done, house to perfection, candy and cookies baked and delivered, presents wrapped just so, It never seems to be just the way I invisioned at the start (today) of the season, but all of the bottles of red wine seem to make my vision a little impaired, so that helps with my effort!!!!
Lets drink to happy "hic-up" holidays!!!

Sad how much toys cost these days. And believe me - the older they get, the pricier their gifts are. Good luck with all of your plans. You're off to a good start!
Love,
Julie

Oh I so agree Bristol! I've already gotten myself into a frenzy and overscheduled and it isn't even Dec. 1 yet! I really need to learn how to relax this time of the year but it just escapes me.
Did you get my e-mail? I sent you a photo of your completed necklace.
Hugs,
Karla
