We have started decorating here on Grant St. We were successful in our tree hunt, last year it was a nightmare with the crooked trunk. We ended up with a 3 ft tree I think and loss of needles from husband throwing it out the door several times. About a month ago I was hunting for some trim at Hobby Lobby and stumbled upon some red striped web juting at .99 a yard. It reminded me of old french linen and grain sacks. I had no idea at the time what I was going to do with it but I sccoped up 12 yards. It has found a place in our holiday decorating. I used it to hang wreaths on the windows and I am going to use it to trim the tree. The pictures below are not the best more to follow later when we are done, but this is the start.
Hi,
Love your jute webbing idea for your wreath. I found a whole roll of this at St. Vinnies and have had fun decorating with it also. I may just "steal" your very creative idea!
I also saw that someone had used this to cover a styrofoam wreath and make their own french inspired wreath that way.
Just a multitude of uses with this!!!

Just catching up with you now! Love the jute ribbon on your wreath! Hobby Lobby is one of my favorite stores - they always have something great somewhere!
Congrats on doing the flea market! I'm going to try to remember to stop by tomorrow to see what you have!
Thanks for stopping by!

Great idea. That jute webbing is used in upholstery. You've given it a whole new life.

I've used the jute ribbon to make a very quickly stitched table cloth for a vintagey hoe down barbeque party I gave for one of my children's birthdays. Love the idea of hanging wreaths w/ it. Very cool!
